The development strategy of agricultural education to 2020
1
The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The purpose of this project is to create the target model of agricultural education to 2020.
Nowadays there are some serious problems in the agricultural education: low salaries in the sector of agriculture, insufficient financing of the system of agricultural education, low attractiveness of future profession for students, weak competitiveness of the quality of training of students, the lack of consolidation of management system, generational gaps and the lack of sufficient incentives and motivation of pedagogical staff.
Sectoral education is an important and insufficiently studied field of higher education system. In a fast-changing socio-economic context the qualitative preparation of specialists in sectoral education is the basis for the successful development of the industry. After Russia's WTO accession it is necessary to develop the agriculture and related industries (food industry, environmental safety) to the level of international competitiveness.
At the same time there is a dynamic shift in the industry of the education system, in particular the creation of flagship regional universities, the struggle with the "non-core" and "inefficiency" of universities, changing the structure of the number of budget places in the universities.
