Zhejiang University is one of the oldest universities in China, leading national educational rankings and consistently ranking among the top 100 universities in the world according to several international assessments.

From November 1 to 3, it hosted representatives from leading universities from various countries to discuss international integration and the transformation of higher education in the era of global change. Experts addressed the current challenges and opportunities facing higher education today, as well as shared best practices for implementing innovative approaches and fostering international cooperation.

Niyaz Gabdrakhmanov presented a report titled "The Contribution of Higher Education Reforms to Regional Development in Russia: National Priorities and Individual Opportunities", in which he shared the results of an analysis of the specifics of the Russian higher education system and its state regulation.

The head of the "University Development" laboratory, along with other leaders from prominent global educational institutions, was also invited as an expert to the subsequent event dedicated to the international assessment of disciplines in the field of education.

"It is very pleasant to hear that many participants of the forum are well aware of the Institute of Education and the Higher School of Economics. The event has generated many new contacts with Chinese universities and regional UNESCO offices."
