New Rules for University Admissions
One of the first changes is the prioritization of enrollment. Last year, applicants could choose up to 10 specialties; this year, that number has been reduced to five. How does this work? Applicants assign numbers to each specialty. A "1" indicates the program they want to enter the most, a "2" indicates the next preference, and so on in descending order. Interestingly, this strategy can be adjusted.
To achieve the required scores, individual achievements can help. As usual, this includes a certificate or diploma from a college with honors, victories in Olympiads, the GTO badge, and volunteer activities. This year, the list has been expanded. Now, points can also be earned for a medal "For Special Achievements in Learning" of the I or II degree, or for high sports achievements, such as being a champion of Russia.
